Prologue Dawn of HopeNight felt endless. The darkness around us was no longer just a condition of the sky, it had become our way of life under the rule of apocalyptic tyrants. Povertyus drained the planet of its resources, leaving behind hungry and desperate people who had once known peace. Envydius severed friendships and sowed jealousy, setting even the best of us against each other. Fudus reigned through fear, fueling nightmares and stifling any dream of freedom. And above all, Centralis spied on us relentlessly with its drones, turning every street into a territory guarded by cold, merciless eyes.
Yet these were only some of the forces threatening our very existence. In the pages that follow, you will discover others just as dark and unforgiving.
I live on the outskirts of the city, among ruins and makeshift shacks. Each evening, I try to read by the faint glow of a half-broken lamp, hoping that stories of heroes and adventures might ease my hunger and sadness. But deep down, I know the same fear and sense of powerlessness haunts everyone. I often find myself asking, along with the others: “Why is it so dark? Will the light ever return?”
Then, on a night when it seemed nothing good could ever happen, the sky split open in a brilliant burst of light. Like fireworks from another galaxy, a dazzling explosion tore through the darkness. Nine silhouettes emerged from this radiant vortex, each carrying a force that made us believe all was not yet lost.
Later, I learned they are called the Maximi. Each one carried a spark of what we humans had lost along the way. Their first mission was as direct as it was meaningful: they liberated a base controlled by Envydius, reclaiming stolen supplies and food. It was the first time I realized we weren’t alone. That evening, I enjoyed my first hot meal in days, and I knew something had changed. The faces of those around me shone with a long-forgotten emotion: hope.
Yet, beyond the fireworks and triumphs against darkness, the story of the Maximi is also our story about every person who dares to stand up and say, “Enough!” It’s about realizing that, united, we can overthrow even the greatest tyrants.
Now, the Maximi Universe calls upon you to join in. Heroes do exist, but their true power only comes to life if we choose to open our hearts and believe in good once again. A single act of courage can be the spark that kindles a new era of light and freedom.
